Consultancy opportunities with JFS

Part-time Finance & Administration Officer


JFS is seeking applications for a part-time Finance & Administration Officer who is able to support JFS’ growth trajectory. The role reports to the Executive Director, and includes a remuneration of MYR3,200 per month.


JOB SCOPE

The functions and responsibilities of the role are envisioned below:

  1. Finance & Accounting
    1. Establish and set up the necessary financial systems and processes, and review them periodically with the aim of enhancing good practices in financial procedures, internal controls and workflow processes.
    2. Maintain accurate, complete and up-to-date accounting records in accordance with the relevant statutory regulations and donor contracts. This includes preparation of vouchers, monthly bank reconciliation and timely processing of information into the accounting system.
    3. Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, financial policies and procedures.
    4. Provide comprehensive assistance to facilitate the audit process.
    5. Analyse and reconcile key accounts in a timely manner to proactively identify issues or risks and inform the Executive Director.
    6. Prepare monthly financial and management reports.
    7. Liaise with external parties like bank, auditors, company secretary, tax agent and relevant parties
  2. Donor Management
    1. Prepare operational budgets and assist in preparing budget proposals to potential funders.
    2. Prepare donor reports according to the agreed timelines and requirements and assist in handling donor queries.
    3. Monitor and keep track of programme budgets, ensuring that the spending of programme expenses are in line with the donor’s approved budget.
  1. Administration and Human Resource
    1. Manage programme budgets and logistical arrangements for activities.
    2. Provide logistics support for activities.
  1. General
    1. Contribute to the overall management of the organisation.
    2. Undertake any other responsibilities that may be assigned by the Management team from time to time.


DESIRABLE WORK EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  1. Minimum 4 to 5 years of experience in a similar role or organisation.
  2. Experience developing financial policies and systems for organisations.
  3. Experience with donor and grant financial management, including monitoring and reporting.
  4. Experience assisting with audits, monitoring of financial and human resources processes to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  5. Enthusiasm and ability to work as part of a remote team while being able to work independently.
  6. Proficiency in accounting software such as Quickbooks, and computer literacy skills, particularly with programmes and applications in Microsoft Office.
  7. Fluent in verbal and written English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Media Consultant


JFS is seeking applications for a Media Consultant who is able to support JFS’ upcoming campaign. The role reports to the Executive Director, and includes a remuneration of MYR4,000 per month.


JOB SCOPE (Their role)

The functions and responsibilities of the role are envisioned below:

  • Manage and implement campaign
  • Develop relationships with 5 media partners. some of them will be the campaign partner
  • Update or develop media guides
  • Hold one media engagement


DESIRABLE WORK EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  1. Minimum 4 to 5 years of experience in a similar role or organisation.
  2. Experience developing campaigns and social media content .
  3. Experience with campaign and social media management, including monitoring and reporting.
  4. Enthusiasm and ability to work as part of a remote team while being able to work independently.
  5. Proficiency in video editing and design software, and computer literacy skills, particularly with programmes and applications in Microsoft Office.
  6. Fluent in verbal and written English and Bahasa Malaysia.
