Conversion Practices
August 18, 2025
Our guest shares his journey growing up as a trans man in Malaysia and how life turned out post-conversion therapy. Though his family wasn’t religious, he was forced to undergo several rounds of conversion therapy to be “normal” again. Eventually, he found a local trans men community to confide in and was able to live abroad for a while. Life has since then changed drastically for him that he’s able to live his truth in his workplace and family. This episode is a collaboration with Justice for Sisters to highlight awareness of conversion therapy in Malaysia and how it affects queer Malaysians.
