Alia, a trans woman, revealed that her extended family members enlisted the help of a police officer they knew to monitor her movements. They followed her, took photos, and later used them to stage an intervention opposing her gender identity and to warn her against any kind of medical transition.

Alia, a trans woman, revealed that her extended family members enlisted the help of a police officer they knew to monitor her movements. They followed her, took photos, and later used them to stage an intervention opposing her gender identity and to warn her against any kind of medical transition. 

She also shared how she was reprimanded daily by her previous employer, since she first started at the company. Her employer would often remind her to cut her hair, pressuring her to change her gender expression and identity, ultimately causing her tremendous stress that led to depression. Because she performed well at work, the reprimands and pressure were gradually reduced to once a week.
